Aditi Saigal was born on 21 September 1998 to Amit Saigal and Shena Gamat in India. Her father was a rock musician who founded Rock Street Journal, which became India’s first rock magazine. Amit Saigal, died in 2012 by drowning in the sea at goa. Her mother, Shena Gamat, is a theater practitioner, actor, and professional voice actor. She has over 15 years of stage experience. She has also done supporting roles in Bollywood movies such as Band Baaja Baaraat and Dev D. Her parents had been mutually divorced since 2006.
Aditi was just 14 years old when her father died. Her custody was held with her grandparents in Prayagraj (Allahabad) Uttar Pradesh.
Aditi always loved singing and songwriting from a very young age. At the age of 12 she wrote her very first song.
After completing her schooling in India, She studied music and creative writing in Bangor university in North Wales, United Kingdom.
She graduated with a degree of BA (hons) with 1st class grades. She worked as an administrator in the International Education Centre (IEC) at Bangor University itself. She worked within the global mobility department as the first port of call for exchange nominations from partner universities. Additionally she completed an online part-time MSc in Education from the University of Glasgow.
Aditi Saigal started her career as a singer with a few musicians from One World College of Music and started singing. She started uploading her music videos in 2017 on her own YouTube channel.
Aditi goes by the stage name Dot. She has released several songs and music videos, including a dreamy tribute to a popular filmmaker.
She released her first album called Khamotion in 2021 and the songs included “Everybody Dances to Techno”.
Aditi was featured in a Netflix Valentine’s Day video in 2019. She later signed her first film in 2022, Zoya Akhtar’s ‘The Archies’, co-starring with the famous celeb kids, Suhana khan, Khushi Kapoor, Agastya nanda and many more.
