Ashneer Grover grew up in Delhi and did his schooling in Apeejay School, Delhi. He then went on to complete his B.Tech with civil engineering from IIT Delhi. He was a brilliant student and invested much of his time in studying.
Ashneer was one of the six students chosen from IIT Delhi as an exchange student at INSA Lyon, the school of INSA Lyon Institut National Des Science Appliquees de Lyon, France.
In the year 2004, Ashneer got himself enrolled for MBA in Finance from IIM, Ahemdabad. The campus selection through IIM Ahemdabad landed Ashneer to Kotak Investment Banking, Mumbai as vice-president.
In 2013, he was hired as director of Amex, (American Express) which is an MNC that he was a part of, and he remained in the company for two years. He was then hired by Grofers as their head of finance in the year 2015 and worked for them for a short time.
Then the next step was joining PC Jewellers as business head and assisted with their development of business along with payment methods.
While working for PC Jewellers, he got the idea for BharatPe. Ashneer as well as Shashvat Nakrani along with Bhavik Koladiya started BharatPe in the year 2018. It is currently the top-rated Indian payment app.
